Marcus is a Japanese-American filmmaker based in New York City. He has written and directed numerous short films, winning acclaim most recently for his film Daddy Is A Hunter (starring John Ortiz, Trevor Salter) where he took home ‘Best Short Film’ at the Chelsea Film Festival and ‘Best Editing’ at Brooklyn Horror Film Festival as announced by IndieWire.
He has also written for several European co-productions with the Swedish company CaneLake Films, winning ‘Best Short Screenplay’ for the Swedish film Debut and helping take home the ‘1 KM Short Film Award’ at Stockholm Film Festival for his co-writing of An Artist’s Soul.
Marcus currently works on the crew for Saturday Night Live.
